This assistance can only be given to an applicant once per 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOW TO APPLY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The candidate must be making at least the minimum pay.<br>Being a citizen or permanent resident of the Bahamas.<br>Be older than 18 years old.<br>Be the household&#8217;s head.<br>Provide a pay stub, a letter of employment or termination, and a valid passport for the household&#8217;s head.<br>Valid Head of Household NIB smart card.<br>Death certificate&nbsp;for a family member who has passed away.<br>Send a letter from the funeral home outlining the price of the services.<br>May need a Marriage Certificate, Divorce decree or legal separation documents for spouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/promis.gov.bs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Final-map-Social-Service-Outreach-Centres-and-BoundariesV2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Map&nbsp;<\/a>here to find which Centre is responsible for the area where you live.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/promis.gov.bs\/registration\/\">Register now<\/a> via the online portal to apply.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Burial Assistance Program offers financial aid for individuals requiring it for a family member&#8217;s funeral.The funeral home receives payment for the financial support directly.
